FAQs

What is car detailing?

Car detailing is a comprehensive cleaning and reconditioning process for both the interior and exterior of a vehicle. It goes beyond a regular car wash to restore the car’s appearance to near-new condition. Detailing includes cleaning, polishing, and protecting all parts of the vehicle.

What is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is the most effective way to keep your car clean, shiny, and protected. It adds a durable layer of protection to your car’s surface, repelling water and dirt. Depending on your needs, there are different strength levels of coatings available, lasting from 1 to 9 years. At Cleanup Car Detailing, we use Nextzen ceramic coatings, which are Australian-made and trial-tested by the CSIRO.

Benefits of Ceramic Coating:

  • Cost-Effective: More economical in the long run compared to frequent waxing and sealing.
  • Easy to Clean: Hydrophobic properties repel water and dirt, making washing a breeze.
  • UV Protection: Shields your car from UV rays, dirt, chemicals, and organic matter.
  • Enhanced Gloss: Boosts the gloss levels of your paint finish, keeping your car looking stunning.
  • Regular Washing: Wash your car every two weeks at a minimum to prevent the coating from clogging with contaminants.
  • Shade Washing: Wash your car in the shade to avoid water spots and soap drying up.
  • Two-Bucket Method: Use a two-bucket method with a microfibre wash mitt to prevent micro-scratches and marring.
  • pH-Neutral Soap: Always use pH-neutral soap for washing.
  • Pre-Rinse and Wash Order: Pre-rinse the car, then wash from the cleanest to the dirtiest parts: roof, sides, front end, and boot.
  • Separate Buckets for Wheels: Use a third bucket for sills and wheels.
  • Microfibre Towels: Dry your car with microfibre towels to avoid scratches.

It is recommended to detail your car every 4-6 months, depending on its usage and exposure to the elements. Regular detailing helps maintain the car’s appearance and protects its value.
